El Paredón may be a small town, but there’s plenty to do in and out of the water. Let us show
you our home break. Sign up for a surf lesson, give wakeboarding a try, take an estuary stand-up paddle tour, or swing by the restaurant and bar for one of our themed nights.
Wakeboarding Mangrove tour
Our premium and favorite tour in El Paredon. Gather some friends and enjoy our daily wakeboard tour on the mangroves. Feel the speed and nature that wakeboarding can provide while you enjoy with your friends and new friends. We need a minimum of 5 people for the tour. It costs Q250 per person and includes a Coconut, all the equipment, tour guide and the boat ride.
Paddle board
Explore the rich biodiversity of the area by stand-up paddling through the mangrove trees of the estuary. We offer daily estuary tours where guests explore the river by SUP. El Paredón sits on the edge of Sipacate Naranjo National Park where the mountains of the interior halt and give way to dense mangrove forests, black volcanic sand beaches, and over 90 species of birds.
Yoga
Our oceanfront, open-air yoga Shala and fitness studio are situated right on the sand for the ultimate beachfront workout. We offer daily yoga classes and allow guests to come and practice on their own. If you’re looking for solitude on our El Paredón hotel property, our second-floor yoga Shala serves as a quiet and peaceful retreat with ocean views.
Boat rental
Choose from our variety of surfboards to surf the beach break of El Paredon beach.
We only rent boards for 2 hours.
Beerpong
Join the biggest Beer Pong at the beach of El Paredon. Every Thursday night we organize a Beer pong tournament sponsored by Dorada Ice beer, which every team pays Q25 per round and includes 2 beers.
4 rounds will be played before elimination rounds all the way to the final.
The winner gets a Q700 cash prize
Trivia and Taco Tuesday
Come and enjoy our amazing Taco Tuesday offers all day. all our taco recipes with special prices and tequila shots. Gather some friends at night and come and play our dynamic Trivia and win a bottle of rum while you play with your knowledge and intellect.
Beach cleanup
Every Tuesday we exchange a bag of trash (plastic and non biodegradable materials) from the beach and streets for a cold Corona or natural drink. Help us clean the beautiful beach of El Paredon.
Workout
Our surf hostel in El Paredon offers you an outside beachfront area to train calisthenics or do different types of workouts for your needs. Meet some friends and get fit while you travel and enjoy!

Our beachfront restaurant is one of El Paredón’s most popular eateries and hangouts. Choose from a wide selection of local dishes and international favorites made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We’re constantly reinventing our menu to create a unique dining experience for our guests and visitors. Cocorí Lodge is the place to be on the weekends in El Paredón. We host a variety of themed nights, weekly beer pong tournaments, and DJ sets with DJs from around the world. El Paredón’s nights can be just as fun as the days if you’re hanging out at Cocorí.
